The Disadvantages

There are, however, some downsides to using prepaid mobile phones. One is that if you go to a remote place where credits cannot be found, you’ll have to be very careful that you do not run out of the credits that you already have. Furthermore, if you run out of credits during an emergency situation, it will be very horrible. Another big downside is that prepaid mobile phones, the models themselves, actually cost more. Applying for a plan would provide you with free mobile phones or at least discounted ones. But, if you choose to buy a prepaid mobile phone, you’ll have to pay for the whole mobile phone itself.

All in all, the decision of whether or not to get a prepaid cell phone rests in you. If you decide that it will be more practical for you in the long run, then it might be best to fork out the extra cash for it. But if not, the best may be to go for a plan.
